1982 Chevrolet Suburban 6.2 liter from North America

Summary:

Zero performance

Faults:

We have put 2 trannys in it in 6 years. The one lasted only 32,000 miles and of course it was a couple months over warranty. The thing had no power. When we were driving through the mountains, we stuck it in 2nd gear and put it to the floor. When going on the freeway, it blew oil out the back whick covered toe rear in oil. I wasn't too happy with it.

General Comments:

I heard that the early 1980's Suburbans had a reputation for having no power with the 6.2 liter engine. Now don't get offended by that because maybe we just had a junker motor.

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? No

I agree, those weren't good cars. I traded mine in for a Ford Crown Victoria. It's not a SUV, but it's a car that has power and is reliable.
