2007 Chevrolet Tahoe LT 5.3L Gasoline from North America

Summary:

Excellent vehicle - I'll buy another!

Faults:

The only thing that the truck has a problem with is with the GPS system on my windscreen. No matter what products I use to clean the windscreen, it doesn't become clean.

General Comments:

The life of a Personal Operating Vehicle is often short due to the extreme driving by some units. I have put my truck through horrid treatment, including putting 37,000 miles on the truck in only 3 years. The 2001 Suburban, I had previously, had a blown gasket at 357,000 miles, so I thought what they hay, why not stay with Chevy. This truck has been absolutely great.

The truck starts on a dime when I'm in a hurry, and has some get up and go while I'm heading towards the station.

In a couple more years, I hope Chevy will still be around, so that I can buy another one of these amazing trucks.

My wife and I also have a 2006 Subaru Outback, which has been absolutely amazing as well, and before that a 1997 Subaru Outback. That was our second Subaru. If anything changes with the car, I'll let you know in the comments.

2007 Chevrolet Tahoe LS 4.8 from North America

Summary:

Guess there are lemons out there, had to get stuck with one

Faults:

Paint Pealed on bumper and side moldings, have been repainted 3 times, a week after third time the paint began to peal again.

Engine is unresponsive at times, dealer states they do not know what could be wrong with it.

Instrument Cluster "froze" and all Airbags and a other variety of safety featers were disabled.

Makes Noises occasionally when started, so bad/loud you turn the car off immediately.

Brakes were shot at 14,000 miles they claim there was a problem with the electronic brake distribution module.

Some surfaces are flaking off in the inside cabin.

The back of the passenger seat was cracked by folding second row seat. (design problem I guess)

Too many to list.

Previously owned Ford Expedition was only in the shot 2 times for a fuel pump replacement (112,000 miles) and the shifting cable (106,000 miles) besides that everything else was normal wear and tear or regular maintained.

General Comments:

The design is very attractive. Seats are comfortable and inside cabin is quiet and roomy. The vehicle rides amazingly, has somewhat good pick up. The SUV drives and rides like a car. And Impressive fuel economy compared to 1998 Ford Expedition.
