2006 Chrysler Cirrus LXi 2.4 liter turbo high output from Mexico

Summary:

Midterm vehicle

Faults:

Oxygen sensors worn out about 15,000 KMs, and front suspension has been cracking since new. Otherwise no more problems with this model.

General Comments:

Fuel consumption is really elevated, I know it´s a turbo engine, but if you consider that it only has four cylinders, an average consumption of 7 kms per liter, it´s too high even if you don´t use full gas pedal.

Fair value for the price paid for this car, considering the standard equipment. Handling performance poor.

2006 Chrysler Cirrus LXi 2.4 Liter turbo from Mexico

Summary:

Very good car

Faults:

Nothing wrong with the car by now (only 19,800 Kms), I bought this car in August 2006.

General Comments:

The Cirrus (sebring Sedan in US) has an excellent built quality, with an excellent performance too.

It cames with an excellent level of equipment with a reasonable price.

Roomy and powerful.

2006 Chrysler Cirrus LXi 2.4 turbo from Mexico

Summary:

Bad quality and service

Faults:

I received this Cirrus (Sebring in US) 2 months ago. Actually is in for a service; third time in 2 months; with only 1,600 kms (around 1,000 miles). Everytime with a different mechanical problem.

First, front suspension was loose, second problem engine computer got burned; third problem, oxygen sensor failure. Service is a real nightmare!!! Chrysler takes around 2-3 days to find the problem, and another 3 to 5 days to fix it.

Fact: In this 2 months, the car has been more time with the mechanics than any other place. Never in my lifetime will I buy a Chrysler again.

General Comments:

I cannot give a comment on the car because it has been repaired most of the time.
