Factory recall for a bolt that mounted driver's seat to floor; other than that, car is perfect.
The Intrepid has a great engine that makes it very easy to pass slower moving vehicles.
This car also handles beautifully. It's weight and larger wheel base make for dependable handling in inclement weather. Gives a very smooth and luxurious ride.
I find the interior to be very nice as well. Chrysler offered clean and professional colour matches between interiors and exteriors, presenting the Intrepid as a cross between a family sedan and a more luxurious vehicle.
I agree entirely. The only problem I've ever had (twice), is that the chip for the blowing motor speeds has conked out.
Otherwise a great year and a great car.
Two thumbs up :-)

My 02 Intrepid was a great car until 2008 when the transmission blew after just 133,000 kms. This was very disappointing as I had kept up every single service appointment since day one so it should have been in great shape.
Other than that, it is very very good in winter conditions and
sails along the highway smoothly and powerfully. The trunk and back seat is extremely large, making it most comfortable for long trips.
It is really attractive too, silver exterior and charcoal leather interior. I added wood-grain accent packages inside too and tinted the windows so it was a hot lower-end sports car for me.
All in all, a really good car but for that one significant problem.
