2008 Citroen C-Crosser VTR+ 2.2 HDI turbo diesel from UK and Ireland

Summary:

Great car let down by basic clutch and additive design faults

Faults:

Clutch failed at 9k miles (common fault). Then the additive tank failed at 10k miles. Luckily both covered by warranty - had to battle to get the clutch replaced under warranty, as the car had a tow bar and the service manager stated I was heavy on the clutch. Look it up on the web - loads of clutch failures reported!!!

Then the additive tank failed again out of warranty at 24k miles. £450 later!!

Citroen wanted £650 for a major service when the car had only done 28k - service manager stated - It's based on a Mitsubishi, which is expensive to service. A local garage did it all, including diesel filter and axle oil change, for £296!!!

General Comments:

Great performance and loads of space.

MPG good - getting between 38 & 43 MPG. On long run (200 miles motorway), sitting at 60mph, I get 47 MPG.

Fantastic for towing a caravan.

Smooth and relaxed driving.
