2007 Citroen C3 Pluriel from UK and Ireland

Summary:

Love it

Faults:

Leaking roof.

General Comments:

It's my wife's car and I love it!!

On the negative side, the roof leaks. I'm a former aircraft engineer and a water engineer, so I don't intend to be defeated by this. My first impression is that Citroen have done a great job in seal design, so I've investigated the problem further, I think I've found the problem, with a simple fix, but I'm awaiting some serious rain to test my theory!!

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Don't Know

Success!! the symptom was water dripping from the roof arch fastener onto the seats. I found the source was from the window seals around the arches, not the roof. Rainwater seeps between the seal and arch, then collects and travels to the lowest point through the fastener. My fix was applying Vaseline between the seal and arch.

PS if this fix saves you ££ by not going to the dealers, please think of the unfortunate people in the world who have no water. Please give a donation to Water-Aid instead.

I have the same issue with a Sensodrive Pluriel... That is water dropping onto the front passenger seat. It seems to drop from an area close to that thing you use to mask sunbeams (sorry for not knowing the English word :P).

You think you could maybe make a detailed how-to on fixing this? Maybe some pictures?

Thank you.

I have same problem with leakage on arches, and keeps juddering as you try to pull away in first gear, can be scary on roundabouts and heavy traffic, have started to lose my confidence when driving, first time ever... After one week had new coil pack fitted, and spark plug, one week later, same problem.. Please help.. fed up, only had it a month.
