I'm 18 and my furio was my first car. Insurance cost me £1000 TPF&T with Quinn Direct was about £1600 fully comp.

I've just turned 18 and have had my Furio for about 5 months, and so far have had no problems with it. It keeps up with my mate's Escorts on acceleration. Doubt it will on top speed, but I don't really want to pick up any points yet, or lose my licence.

I'm insured with Quinn-direct. They were the cheapest that I found, and the excess is not that high either, which I thought was good considering my age.

Also I have driven my friend's Rover 214, and think the Saxo is better to drive, and possibly a bit quicker, or that just might be down to the driver i.e me and my friend.

All in all, if you want a sporty looking car that's affordable I would recommend it.

Got a furio I'm 20, fully comp £900. Got a viper induction and a exhaust system does 0-60 in about 9-10 seconds, I'm sure in would be quickly, but I've got a 3000 watts sub in the boot. If you don't like saxos get a corsa I raced a 1.4 16 vavle corsa and it ruined me on the straights.

As for the comment on a furio being there with the vtR, friend of myn had one and said the same comment when I boughta mk2, hw can a 75bhp car, keep with a 98bhp car? it really cnt, but its still a fun car to drive, and is nippy, for wat it is, but as for the 1.4 16v corsa, the extra 8 valves helps that out, furio looks well, but I wouldn't badge it up as a vtr, I would stick with 'saxo' badges, not sure if they all com wi them but my m8s did?

Hey, I have a Furio 1.4, had it for 6 months now. I love it, but my problem is I was hit from behind and now need a tail. Would a VTS tailgate fit on to my Furio?

Do not get a Corsa. I own both a Saxo and a Corsa. Any Corsas handle like crap, however the build quality is much better, but still not great.
