Faulty ECU (engine control unit) wiring at 30,000km (had to be replaced; cost - 80US$).

The car is very convenient for city driving.

Parking is very easy in tight spaces (even in small spaces fit for motorbikes!)

The car is surprisingly roomy for its size.

Rear number plate and interior light not functioning from delivery.

Within one year I had to take the car back to the dealer 7 times for the same problem, the car kept on stalling at traffic lights, finally tracked down to the immobiliser.

Passenger door lock is very hard to open from the inside.

Had a head gasket replaced at only 11,000 miles.

Dealer service is awful, don't expect them to call back, even worse it takes 6 weeks to get a courtesy car, so pray your car will last if it has to go in, otherwise enjoy public transport.

The ride is harsh.

A cute car.

Problems outweigh the good points, never will I buy a Daewoo again, I have persuaded many others not to buy it, and I hope after reading this you don't as well.

The engine's performance has dropped 5-7%, probably because I have pushed the engine and transmission a lot. It takes longer to reach the 160-170 Km... he he.

Between 68000-75000 Km I had to replace two spark cables (they are three) twice because the engine was suffering from irregularity (warranty - free of charge). I believe the problem occurred because of the heat (engine and sun).

I am really happy to be the owner of this beautiful car.

Clutch replaced after 2 weeks. Oil leaks x 5 times. Engine overheating. Loss of power. Increased petrol consumption. Engine warning light keeps coming on. Exhaust blowing. Heater not working. Temperature gauge not working. Been back into dealership 9 times for attempts at repair.

I would never buy another Daewoo. The customer services do not want to know and have never responded to any of the six letters of complaint that I have written. I tried to ask for my money back after the 4th attempt at repair, under their 30 day promise as detailed in their brochure as I had only had the car for 25 days with four attempts to repair it. But they just ignored me.

Great value especially three years free servicing, AA membership and 3 years full warrenty! Dealers were good too.

A teriffic little car which is fun to drive and very safe. I feel it's a real bargain at just £7K on the road packed with extras and free 3 year service.
