2000 Daewoo Tico SX 0.8 from Croatia

Great car.. will be hard to find another one with that low fuel consumption and reliability

At 80.000 km, left wheel stuck and needed to change brakes and repair. Also changed electrical distribution and cables.

At approximately 50.000, braking oil was slightly leaking at real wheels braking force regulator. It has been changed. The rest was just regular maintenance.

General Comments:

The car is reliable, even accelerates quite good.

It's great in the city, fuel consumption 10/10.

Perfect as a city car

Just the battery went dead after leaving the lights on for 24 hours.

General Comments:

It is really easy to drive it in the city. Parking is a piece of cake with beautiful visibility in the rear mirrors. And with that fuel consumption (5-6%) it’s really cheap to operate too. For a city car, it’s excellent.

Let’s face it: the car does not look good. It’s an ugly little car. But… as long as you don’t really care about that…

For long distances don’t put 4 inside. With 4 people inside, the engine is too small, the tires are too narrow and there’s not enough room. Acceleration and breaking can be really slow. I would say it’s a dangerous car with 4 inside.

Agile and inexpensive to have

The fuel pump got unsealed at 50,000 kilometers.

General Comments:

The car may not look very nice, but it certainly has a lot to offer when its one's first car.

It is ideal for driving in the city and commuting at short distances.

The performance is satisfactory and the noise inside is at acceptable level.

The interior materials do not feel very good, but you can easily get used to it.

Also the steering wheel is to big.

When using alternative fuel i.e. propane-butane the running costs are extremely low.

Reliabilty is astonishing - no serious problems so far.

Only those who don't have it don't appreciate it!

Gearbox was the problem since I've bought the car. After 1 year I've managed to change the gearbox (to a dealer service) after they changed oil, some parts in gearbox. And finally, the gearbox still doesn't work fine. I accepted as it is.

General Comments:

After all is a pretty good car.

The space is very comfortable for 2 persons & luggage.

Its reliability is good to very good.
