Nippy little mover, takes the corners well, you can park it almost anywhere and they are totally cute. It must be a cool car if its featured on Gran Turismo 3 for the play-station 2. Oh and with some alloys & body kit it can look like one mean devil!!

1999 Daihatsu Cuore here. Excellent car, handles great and drinks hardly any petrol. I've used it mostly for city driving which it excels at. Parking is a breeze, and it is fun to drive.

Bought this car due to the fuel economy. What a great surprise. I've had BMWs, Jaguars, Mercedes and lots of other larger cars over the years. But I have to say I am really loving this Cuore. The running costs are practically zero, so I am saving at least €5k a year on petrol alone, probably another €2k more if you include road tax and insurance, that's €7k a year!!

The Daihatsu Cuore is reliable, cheap to tax and insure, cheap to run. It has the same engine as the Toyota Yaris. the car is tiny though with very little room in the boot, enough for a small buggy, or a couple of big bags of shopping. You can seat four adult easily enough. There is no middle seat belt in the rear, so 5 people is not possible.

If you keep the speed under 100 km/h, the fuel efficiency is staggering! The cabin is noisy on motorways and the side windows fog up a lot (which is my biggest gripe with the car).

I am really quite shocked at how much I like this little motor. In the city you can park it anywhere, it's incredible!

Acceleration is good. Braking is good, though you should try and avoid jamming on really hard in damp weather as she'll skid.

An epic little motor, and it only cost me €1k. 9/10.
