2011 Dodge Caliber Express 2.0 from North America

Summary:

Solid, but basic wagon

Faults:

Alternator.

Battery.

Noisy rear drum brakes that always squealed (embarrassing).

Crappy seat trim pieces that always BROKE.

RUST (ultimately what caused her demise - couldn't/wouldn't pass inspection).

Replacing bulbs was a painful, time consuming operation.

General Comments:

The Caliber got A LOT of hate, and I don't know why.

Wart - as I named her, was quite a reliable and put up with a BUNCH of abuse.

She was a basic beast, with amazing paint and shine. Interior fabric was industrial, but still durable.

Pretty fun to drive; the steering wheel was rather large.

Loved the power outlet under the center console.

Friend of mine were surprised just how fun riding in it was.

The Caliber was rather noisy, suspension and under hood noises got into the cabin.

Overall NOT a bad car. It was just like the Neon was, built for a price (granted new they were WAAAAY over priced) but on the used market, I got it and learned to love and appreciate driving in it.

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes
