1989 Dodge D100 318 V8 from North America

Summary:

Wonderfully reliable basic truck

Faults:

Radiator began to leak and was replaced.

Previous owner's aftermarket stereo began to buzz and screech, was replaced with Chrysler CD player.

Valve cover gasket has slight leak, I keep meaning to fix it, but not getting around to it.

General Comments:

The '89-'91 Dodge trucks and vans use an early form of fuel injection, and have a reputation for being somewhat wheezy and unresponsive to drive. This can be largely corrected through the use of a stack of three factory throttle body-to-manifold spacer gaskets and the installation of Autolite 925 spark plugs instead of the standard 65s.
