1993 Dodge Dynasty LE review from North America
"My personal favorite of all my cars (well, almost)"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Considering the mileage on the car, there has been little to go wrong with it:
1. Transmission - 90,000 miles (typical Dodge tranny problem)
2. Light Wiring Harness - 162,000 miles - Lights went out and burned up the wiring, typical and no biggie to fix.
3. Axle bushings - 130,000 miles- had one go out and replaced them all as a precaution.
4. Muffler - has two of these, the first one included the pipe all the way back to the catalytic converter. typical maintenance stuff.
5. Serpentine Belt - 87,000 miles - had to drive two miles into town without belt on and it still runs as good as the day I got it.
General comments?
I take impeccable care of my vehicles. This vehicle is a prime example of what a vehicle can be if you take good care of it and maintain it. It has been driven almost everyday since November 1999 and it has never failed on the road once (except for flat tires or blowouts). This car has been all over my state and in other states by me, because I was in a band that travelled n the road in a few states. I have never been more satisfied with a car than I have with the Dynasty. I currently have a 1990 Plymouth Grand Voyager SE Minivan, a 1985 EL Camino (All original), and the Dynasty. I choose the Dynasty more than the others when I need to 'get somewhere fast'. I know that I there is an emergency and I need to get in and go, the Dynasty is going to be there for me. Dodge built a great car with this model and was a great pre-cursor to the Intrepid. You cannot really tell that this car is 10 years old and has 165,000 miles on it. It looks brand new inside and out; even in the engine bay. Clean enough to eat off of. I like the Dynasty really the best, but I also have that El Camino and it is my favorite too. For the 'get up and go' factor, the Dynasty wins out over all, hands down. Truly one of the best the Dodge ever made.
