Well the car had been sitting for a period of six months, so I had a few things to fix before it was fully operational.
The only time it left me on the road was right after I acquired the vehicle and the alternator stopped working. This had to be replaced and I had to tow the car. Other than this it has never left me on the road, even though almost the entire mechanical aspect of the car, with the exception of the engine block has been replaced.
The one thing that I have noticed with this car is that I have had several problems with the carburetor, having replaced it twice already. But I have read that carburetor problems are common in Ram chargers.
This car is great.
I would not trade it in for anything.
Handles great for such a big machine and for its age.
Very smooth when driving long distances as well as when I use it for my daily driving.
I have just bought a 1983 Dodge Ram-charger, was just woundering if there was a q&a club for this off road GIANT. Please contact me at michael_thiessen@email.com.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME.
Pretty much the only web site for our beasts is
www.ramchargercentral.com
I put a 360 with a 2 barrel in mine and it's the best car I've ever had.
