"The Ramcharger will out live you"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

I had to replace the fuel pump and sending unit at around 110000 miles.

I have also replaced most of the universal joints in the drive train.

Last weekend I replaced the power steering lines dew to sever corrosion.

I replaced the fan clutch and belts.

Lots of body rot. I needed to replace the rocker panels and the area behind the rear wheels.

I have replaced the tires only twice since I have owned the truck.

The paint is still like new.

General comments?

The truck is underpowered. I believe it could use 30-40hp more. I have the 318cid Engine with electronic fuel injection. I think if the truck had the 360cid motor it would have a great power/weight ratio. Another thing, when put in low range 4WD this truck is unstoppable. It's as reliable as the sun and as rugged as leather. No truck built today will ever compare to the Ramcharger.

Performance headers and dual exhausts along with a K&N air filter for good measure would nicely perk up your 318.

I just started working on my '78 Ramcharger, just need to give it a tune up and fix the hole in the floor and it'll be roadworthy again.

I've not driven my RC much yet, but it's amazing in 4L, just plows through the snow! :)
