2002 Fiat Seicento SX 1.1 from UK and Ireland

Summary:

A bargain - the best 1.1 around

Faults:

The car reliability has been good thus far, a loose clutch cable from the start- each time it is fixed it becomes loose again resulting in poor lower gear shifting and the classic Fiat crunch into reverse.

General Comments:

Bar the clutch cable the car has been a perfect first car, very forgiving. It was supplied with Goodyear Eagle Touring tyres that had a good (20K) life, but were very poor in the wet. Recently I replaced the tyres with Pirrelli Rosso's and it was the best investment I have ever made. The road holding and steering is the best for any car under £14000, better even than the fabled Uno Turbo. New ignition cables will see this car beat most 1.4 litres off the line, but beware- the handbooks fuel consumption figures only apply if you drive like a slug, give it a little foot and you will be lucky to get 15 to the gallon! Dealership was expensive for such a cheap car- £130 for a service and they tried to charge me £50 for anti-freeze.

All round a great little car, and drives like a go-kart with a gearbox.

2002 Fiat Seicento Sporting Schumacher 1.1 from UK and Ireland

Summary:

The best car ever!

Faults:

Had a fuel pump recall. Fiat fitted it wrong so broke down due to running out of petrol.

Two new front tyres.

Have squeaky drivers seat even after it having been into Fiat about four times for them to sort it.

Have had runners changed, but to no avail I am still squeaking over every bump I go over.

General Comments:

I have an induction kit and performance exhaust.

Is really quick and turns heads!

I have tinted my windows and added a sun-strip.

Car is amazing for a first car and would recommend it to anyone.

Has more room than a Punto in the front, but the back is a little tight, not that I have any passengers in the rear!

She is called, a little ray of Sunshine!

Leaves most people behind at traffic lights, apart from Ferrari's of course!!!

Hardly uses any petrol.

Is a mean machine!!

2002 Fiat Seicento Sporting Abarth 1.1 from UK and Ireland

Summary:

A fantastic little beast

Faults:

Nothing has gone wrong up to this point.

The only thing is that the drivers seat is quite squeaky, a little annoying!

General Comments:

Coming from a Volkswagen Golf GTI, I am very impressed with this little rocket.

Nippy around town and great fun to drive.

It feels solid and handles surprisingly well.

Very good and comfortable for long distances, motorway driving a pleasure.

It certainly looks the part in broom yellow with body-kit and alloys.

It comes with all the extras: power steering, airbag, central locking, electric wndows for a very reasonable price.

2002 Fiat Seicento EL 1.1 from UK and Ireland

Summary:

An excellent car, a good all rounder, which is cheap

Faults:

Nothing as of yet, although apparently there is no steering lock.

The car came with a CD player although wasn't listed to have one.

General Comments:

The car is very easy to drive, is very powerful, drinks less petrol than nearly every other car on the road.

The seats are very comfortable, although I've not had the pleasure of driving it for any length of time to find out what they are like on long journeys.

She has an amazingly small turning circle, and handles the road very well.

Cheap insurance (well consider that I am a new driver)

A bargain for £3,200 ex-fleet.

2002 Fiat Seicento Sporting 1.1 from UK and Ireland

Summary:

A great, small, underrated car

Faults:

Nothing has gone wrong so far.. except someone breaking in to it.. it's a very reliable car so far.

General Comments:

For the money I spent on it, I believe it's a great little car. I have also got a Subaru (great car), but it's not as much fun around town as the Seicento. If anyone out there is thinking of getting one of these cars.. go ahead.. for the price it's a great little car.
