1982 Fiat Tipo Basic 1.4 petrol from UK and Ireland

Summary:

Fiat should start making Tipos again, but update it a bit. A brilliant car, and I miss my old one

Faults:

1x clutch, 5x cam belts, plus sundry parts; about 200 pounds worth, and that's about it.

General Comments:

It surprised me that a Fiat is that good, so I replaced it with a Stilo, and still kept the Tipo till it was wearing out.

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

150k miles in a Tipo - wow!! I knew they were good, but even so. Always liked these - I was into the Uno and had several - always saw the Tipo as a "grown up" Uno - bigger, cavernous all round. Childless at the time so had no real need for such a large car, so stuck to the Uno

Always felt I missed out not having one - your tale only confirms that feeling
