2020 Fiat Tipo Easy 1.4 petrol from UK and Ireland

Summary:

Cheap, dull, boring, but reliable and modern

Faults:

Nothing serious. Dash has a few squeaks and rattles now. ABS light flickered last winter but no problems since, probably just a sensor on its way out.

Battery due for renewal as well, struggled to start on a cold morning recently. Not the car's fault to be fair, at six years old its probably the original still in it.

General Comments:

Modern Tipo is a pretty basic hatchback. If you want basic transport - jump right in.

Not bad looking in silver.

If you want a fun to drive car that will last forever, look elsewhere. This car is way too cheap and dull and it feels it. That said, it's not a bad car, if you just want something modern, it's priced very reasonably right now on the used market - you get a modern car with low mileage.

Despite me saying the car is modern, the interior is rather dated. It looks like something from 2003, not 2020! But it is all functional and works. Ride a bit firm, and just about spacious enough.

OK to drive, driving position is comfortable enough after a bit of messing about. The 1.4 engine is boring as hell, moves when it needs to while doing about 37 - 40 mpg at best.

All in all not a bad car, just not a great one. Don't know if I'd buy another though - Honestly would buy a Ford Focus or Vauxhall Astra next, probably more exciting than this Tipo, even base models.

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Don't Know
