Needed new brakes @ 170K miles.
A/C went out @ 160K miles.
Rear window motor was kind of tempermental.
Heater went out at around 178K miles.
I totally abused this Bronco and it always came back for more. I mean I took it in and out of some of the nastiest slop I could find when I was hunting and fishing and never once got stuck.
Had a 84 ford bronco with rebuilt eng and tranny, wasnt taken cared of, had it 4 years was falling apart, but ran good, almost got me killed several times due to the ign defect, was hideous on gas finally sold it after 4 years, good riddance!
Well that's too bad that that happened to ya! I have a 1983 F-350 that I beat the brutal hell out of and man it takes a lickin and keeps on ticken, 460 V8 Powerhouse!!!
I'm 16 and I have a '84 bronco xlt with a 351w v-8 in it, and it runs great, with the holley 4 barrel, and edelbrock performer intake manifold, it can white smoke the tires all day, it does great offroad too, lots of low end torque, but it aint no road princess, with a 2 inch body and 1 inch suspension lift on 31 inch tires, its likely to tip over on a sharp turn, but I love it, except for it gets 7-10 mpg, I know it will definitely outrun the new broncos and a few 4 bangers, the truck has about 127,000 miles on it, but it won't quit for another 200,000 at least.
I have an 84 ford bronco xlt with a 351 mated to a 3-speed I brought the truck in 5/10/05 with a 180k on it ran like a champ then and still lighting'em up, but I'm only 18 so I don't have the best job to be paying for the gas so she is babied. also have a 89 bronco xlt with a 302 and a a/t for sale, but my 93 thunderbird sc with a 5-speed is not.

I have an 84 Bronco with a 302 with a Edelbrock 4 bbl carb on an Edelbrock preformer intake manifold. I have had it for 8 years and I love it as much if not more today than when I first bought it. It may not be very good on gas, but I don't really care, it's very dependable and parts are cheap for it and it's so easy to work on it's fun. I will never sell it, it's my baby and someday I am going to will it to my son.
