1996 Ford Bronco Eddie Bauer review from North America
"The last of the Real SUV's"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The truck came with signal lights in the mirrors and the mirrors started to "fog" over and it was hard to see in them. They looked "water stained", almost like rust spots on the inside. Ford no longer makes these mirrors so you have to replace them with regular mirrors and take your chrome off of your old mirror. Cheaper, but not good for towing.
I was working in Law Enforcement and my duty belt probably caused it, my driver seat wore through on the edge (leather seats).
Transfer case and hubs were replaced under warranty. Be careful to back up at least 15 feet when taking out of 4wd.
General comments?
This truck is the "REAL DEAL". Very reliable! Doesn't get stuck! Very strong! I love to camp, tow my boat, drive on the beach, and play in the snow... The truck has no problems...I've pulled several people out of the snow or sand that have gotten stuck without problems.
Don't get this truck if you don't want to buy a gas station too. I put dual exhaust on it and got much improved mpg.
I say I "don't know" if I would buy another vehicle from this manufacturer. because they don't make the Bronco anymore and I have the last year. The suv's they make now are not built for what I want to do.
