2003 Ford Excursion diesel from North America
Summary:
This is the most unreliable car that I have ever owned.
Faults:
The car will begin systematically turning off. First, the radio, DVD player will cut off. Then you gradually lose the air conditioning, control panel, power windows, and lights. Finally, the entire car will just turn off. This has been happening since we bought the car in 2004.
General Comments:
We would never purchase another Excursion. This particular car was actually a replacement for an Excursion that we purchased in early 2004, as this previous car was constantly in the repair shop for similar problems. although our dealer has been very helpful and sympathetic, we really prefer our Chevrolet Suburban. With a family of five active people, we truly value safety and reliability.

Start adding DVD and/or high powered radios, accessories and your electrical system... the battery, alternator may not be up to the added drain... especially if you park and allow a deep discharge.
