2008 Ford Focus C-MAX review from Australia and New Zealand
"Good, but take the time to check the quality"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Apart from a windscreen wiper issue, which the dealer attempted to resolve unsuccessfully until the fourth visit, the car is a good, comfortable reliable unit. (identical to Mazda 3, I'm told).
Windscreen was cracked on delivery (another dealer issue).
General comments?
Car handles extremely well.
A bit of road noise is evident, could be the tyres.
Harsh interior plastics, not very exciting or inspiring. Lack of outer door protection strips/moulds a bit of a worry, especially in shopping centre car parks.
But generally very happy with performance and economy.
Price is very reasonable when compared with a Golf or Mazda 3, but the build quality a bit iffy.
