2014 Ford Mondeo Zetec Business Edition 2.0 TDCi from UK and Ireland
Summary:
A fine car
Faults:
Not a heck of a lot while I have had it, but I have only had it a year. History is full of the usual receipts for services and MOT's, and car has had a lot of brake and suspension work, but that is expected of the age and mileage.
The air con is a bit weak and the interior is starting to look worn.
Outside the car still looks great for the age. Have been told to watch for rust, but I can see none on the surface and my local garage assures me the car is solid underneath.
General Comments:
Got a great deal on this Mondeo, on a 2014 model last of the older shape before the newer model in 2015. Much prefer the look of this car anyway.
Zetec Business Edition has lots of equipment, nice alloy wheels as well. My car is grey but a nicer grey than you normally see - "Midnight Sky" is what it is called. In some lighting it can look dark purple, quite a nice look. I have the rear windows tinted as well. The car looks the part.
Inside looks good also. Comfortable seats and good driving position. The car is smooth to drive. 2.0 TDCi is fast and economical enough, though the auto box blunts performance and economy a bit. Would prefer manual.
Overall just a fine car that does everything well, very hard to fault the Mondeo, if all you want is a decent spacious economical car.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

I would agree; the 160 bhp 2.0 diesel engine must be the best all-rounder. I have the 1.6 diesel and it is too slow. The car is otherwise perfect.
