1996 Ford Scorpio ultima estate review from UK and Ireland
"Nice all round car, pretty expensive to run"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Radiator replaced at 70,000 miles.
Steering rack replaced at 75,000 miles.
Reconditioned gearbox at 101,000 miles.
Fuse box reconditioned 102,000 miles.
Many more niggling faults.
General comments?
Still in great condition, costing quite a sum of money at the moment, petrol consumption 15 mpg, 16 to 18 mpg before reconditioned gearbox, faults coming very frequently at the moment, still nice to drive every comfort anyone needs, cost me approx £2,000 in the 5yrs on repairs a lot more than that on petrol, used every day all day, I am retired now, but it is still used as a family TAXI, with myself driving everyone around, cannot afford to exchange it, part of the family.
