How did you solve the stalling problem? My dad has a 86 Tempo and is having the same kind of problems. His mechanic is stumped.

Please email me at portmaster1000@hotmail.com if you can tell me the steps you took to solve this problem.

Thanx

Mark.

Wicked acceleration (giggle)? In a Tempo (ha ha ha ha... Stop it, my sides are splitting!!! HE HE HE HE!!!)??

My '86 with 47K on the clock would run 0-60 in 16.5 seconds... and that is after I did some work to it.

Two words do not belong in the same sentence... acceleration and Tempo. Unless, of course, it is referring to a LACK OF acceleration.

Got a 3.0 Litre Tempo GL that is not afraid to go down the road with the tires burning. So for all of you that say a TEMPO.. Pull up next to me with your car and we can see what happens from there. Ford put out the Tauras and then the Tempo. Someone at ford decided to combine the two, took the motor out of a tauras and squeezed it into the Tempo. I use squeezed due to there is enough for the motor and the cooling fan and that's it. So anyone one who has a Tempo GL with a 3.0 let me know if there are any performance parts, due to I like when all those Honda's pull up next to me and all they get to see if GL in the front window. Until next time. Keep your feet to the floor.

I need a new taillight for my 86' Ford Tempo in order to get a safety check (yes, here in Hawaii we need safety checks). I've looked all over the place and the closest that I have come to finding one is an 88' model. I was wondering if any of you knew if it would fit into my 86'? Thanks!
