1995 Ford Transit T80 review from UK and Ireland
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Front discs.
Diesel injector, simply cracked, spraying the engine; what a mess!
Heater fan control switch melted.
Keys wear out too quickly, leaving you locked out!
Ignition key barrel disintegrated, leaving me stranded in the country.
Alternator was all done at 140,000; refurb, sorted!
General comments?
I could drive the Transit for mile after mile and it never misses a beat, however when it does decide to break down, then it can cause major problems. I run it on new cooking oil and it gives good economy.
Very slow, but the engine is pretty much bullet proof, and keeps going no matter how much punishment it's given.
