1996 GMC 1/2 Ton SLT review from North America
"This is the best car or truck I have ever owned"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I have replaced the fuel pump twice, (every 100,000 miles). The radiator just once. And the alternator once.
I am due to replace the catalytic converter.
I also had to replace the interior door handle once.
General comments?
This truck has been FANTASTIC!
I even bought my wife the same year Suburban; they have been great trucks, the best I have ever owned. I keep mine tuned up and running right, and get between 23 and 25 mpg, depending how I am driving, and my wife's Suburban gets 21 to 23.
I loved my Toyota when I had it, but it never compared to the comfort, reliability, or power of this truck.
And I could load it in the bed of my GMC!
Hands down the best truck I have ever owned, and I have owned 11!
I will probably never own anything else again after owning this truck.
