2009 GMC Canyon SE Crew Cab 2.9 I4 from North America

Summary:

Great, cheap, and good on gas

Faults:

Doors were adjusted wrong from factory and were difficult to close. Dealer fixed right away, but I was a little annoyed; this should have been caught at the factory or by the dealer before selling it.

The paint is taking a beating from stone chips.

General Comments:

I bought this truck because of the price and gas mileage, and it has been good so far.

The factory all season tires are crap for winter, but the truck was fine once I put some better tires on it in the snow.

Gets almost the same mileage as my old 91 Civic, which in my mind is incredible. This thing is by no means a race car, but it is comfortable enough to drive (in the front) and has good power for passing and towing.

Back seats in the extended cab are for children and midgets only, and very uncomfortable. Middle seat in the front is useless; I think you would have a very hard time finding someone small enough to sit in it; I think they just put a middle seatbelt in so they could advertise that it seats 5, when in reality you can squeeze 3 people in safely, maybe 4 if the driver is short and can slide the seat up.

All said, aside from the easily chipped paint, it has been a great little truck, especially for the price.

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes
