1987 GMC Sierra 1/2 ton 305 Fuel -Injected from North America

Summary:

Great truck for just farting around

Faults:

I have done minor work with the brakes, and there is an electrical problem in horn. The computer is not programmed right, so the truck idles a little bit low.

General Comments:

This truck is not the most fun to drive, but it gets the job done.

It is very reliable, and I am yet to have to do anything other than regular maitenance.

Very powerful, can smoke the tires with no effort whatsoever. Nothing slows it down.

This truck is invincible. You just cannot hurt it.

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

GMC Classic...I bought mine new in 87' and have driven it every day since... it currently has over four hundred thousand miles on it. Nothing ever done to the engine... replaced trans and rear once... strong compression...rough idle lately... a true work horse... looks beat up...can't part with it due to its incredible reliability... need new looking truck for my work, but the "coke~cans" on wheels being sold today can't even compare to this girl! Been hit five times by drunks on the road and she came out uninjured each time except for a few minor dents...yup...they don't make em like this any more... ever notice that all new trucks seen on the road today have one or two major dents in em...hmmm...and a lot of them still have their paper plates still on them. Aluminum foil on wheels...
