1995 Holden Berlina VS 3.8ltr V6 from Australia and New Zealand

Summary:

It's a lovely car, but always spending $$$

Faults:

Hey, I have only just registered this car, it's a 1995 VS Berlina.

I already had to replace the harmonic balancer, it as had bad shudder; they said was off a different model.

I've also had to have engine flushed and a few codes reset, as it was losing oil pressure. Also had a cracked L/H exhaust manifold.

Currently it has a very annoying tapping sound coming from back of the passenger side of the motor. I think is the tappets. Can anyone help if it has happened to there car?

Also I think my auto is starting to slip.

Apart from that, it is a beautiful car around town on trips, and an awesome all round car.

Awesome performance, but it's never had a flogging in the time I've had.

General Comments:

My VS is OK, although the performance could be better, but I think auto just needs a service to improve.

It handles like a dream (great), and is very smooth to drive.

As for my interior; it is a tad dirty, but nothing a good clean won't fix. Very neat and tidy looking interior compared to my old VN and VP.

1995 Holden Berlina VS V6 from Australia and New Zealand

Summary:

Awesome got power and reliability all in one, and that's hard to find

Faults:

Nothing yet, just brakes.

1 pair of disks.

1 harmonic balancer.

General Comments:

I have owned my car since I was 18, and I have driven it to the ground, and it has withstood everything I give to it.

I am a mechanic and all I do to it is service it every 5,000km, and it's fine, no oil leaks anywhere.

I have just done the idler pulley, but other than that, I spend more money on tires than petrol or fixing my car.

Most Holden's are good, and I have found out that if driven a bit hard, sometimes they don't get oil leaks, as when I drive them slow, it drys out the seals, causing it to leak oil.

1995 Holden Berlina vr 3.8 V6 from Australia and New Zealand

Summary:

A very powerful car, but seemingly deseptive

Faults:

Lights on the fuel and temp gauge have a loose connection as well as the cruse light and power mode.

General Comments:

A very reliable car very quick response to full throttle acceleration.

Climate control is a great feature and the heater takes no time to heat up on a cold morning.
