2003 Holden Berlina VYI 3.8 V6 from Australia and New Zealand

Summary:

Overpriced!

Faults:

Faulty electric seat height adjustment. Fixed by Holden dealer, yet still not functioning properly. Holden requested the car be kept for 3 days to rectify the problem until I complained. Problem was repaired in 1 day.

Slight leaking from power steering hose - yet to be replaced.

Faulty trip computer buttons. unable to enter any functions other than accessible through the 'mode' button - yet to be repaired.

Car developing slight interior rattles - to be addressed.

General Comments:

New dash design looks great. Easy to read and use. 6 stack CD/tuner system sounds OK. Poor sound quality at higher volumes.

'Projector' headlights work well, good spread of light.

Car handles well until pushed. It's very hard to correct oversteer smoothly.

Poor NVH (noise vibration harshness) at speeds greater than 120 Km/h. at 140+ km/h wind car clearly be heard and felt entering cabin through door seals. Ride quality is improved greatly over VT models, however, i feel this may be due to the newness of the suspension, rather than actual improvement.

Noisy and harsh engine. lack of power is really beginning to show due to added weight from VT model onwards.

Comfortable long distance car with great fuel economy. I regularly average 35L for a 440km trip.

Traction control works well in wet weather conditions.

A nice looking car. Mine is Vespers blue.

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Don't Know
