1997 Holden Calais VT V6 from Australia and New Zealand

Summary:

Good for big family's or real estate agents

Faults:

Computer system failure (in the middle of nowhere)

Occasional electric seat problems.

General Comments:

My girlfriend and I are looking after her dad's ex-work car.

Positives:

Big interior for big family.

Comfortable seating all round.

All the modern comforts.

Negatives:

Worst handling car I've driven on corners, roundabouts etc.

No engine response until you put your foot right down, when the roar almost deafens you, fuel usage goes up to 99L/100kms, but you don't go forward at all fast.

Bland styling inside and out.

Very thirsty. Getting an average of 14.5L/100 km in all conditions.

Difficult to park or see out the back window.

There are some good strong points to this car, but overall it's not for me. It uses too much fuel without being quick, gives too many comforts without being enjoyable to drive and has too much size for anyone, but a family with older kids.

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? No
