2004 Honda City Vtec 1.5L from Philippines

Summary:

Bang for the buck one of the best cars out there,

Faults:

Horn is weak.

Poor Headlights.

Static, passengers get grounded all the time.

I don't like the rear, looks like its been cut off.

Electronic power steering lacks feel.

General Comments:

The car is quick and at the same time fuel efficient. I get 10-15 kilometers per liter.

ULT seats are amazing, can bring a lot of stuff.

I love this car and highly recommend it.

Nice interior and once youre inside you'll love the City. Comfy and you get a great view outside.

Adjustment of the steering wheel is spot on. Good for all kinds of drivers (tall or small).

2004 Honda City i.DSI Vario 1.3 petrol from Pakistan

Summary:

The overall best 1.3 cc locally manufactured car

Faults:

The interior silver plastic parts, that cover the gear shift area and power window buttons, scratches easily and thus leaves scratch marks.

General Comments:

This car is quick, handles and steers well.

The braking system is excellent.

The seats are not as comfortable as my previous car.

Its aerodynamic look (to me) outclasses the rest.

The interior is simply beautiful and nicely blends in with the aerodynamic look.

It has the smoothest and quietest run at no expense of performance and acceleration.

It corners well with no slippage or grip loss.

You can easily turn the steering wheel with one finger, its so light and responsive.

All in all, it feels as if you are in a solidly built car that knows how to be the best in all conditions.

The suspension is not that good, running at 40mph you can hear a sharp crash when you run over a small hump (like a reflector in the middle of a road), I think its the shock absorber?

I agree that the shock absorber of this car is not that good. This is the only comment I have with this car, the engine and performance is very good!

The Honda City is a good car, but is not durable, because its body gets dented very easily, and the paint from the interior plastic parts wears off a lot sooner than normal.

I'm planning on buying a honda 1.3 vario, what are the pros and cons of this vehicle?

2004 Honda City Exi 1.5 DSI from India

Summary:

A great and Expensive to maintain car!

Faults:

The interior material used on the dashboard of the car is very flimsy and poor, they have started to erode within the first 5 months after I bought it. Honda refused to replace it and said that it is not covered under warranty. TVS Sundaram Honda, Chennai agreed replaced it (free of cost) from a trashed car - but the problem is the replaced part color is Wooden grain, but the rest of my interior is Grey!!

General Comments:

The car is a pleasure to drive. Lots of space for the family. It gives a good mileage - I driver around 8 Kms a day in the city and I get around 11 Kms per liter (this is no where near what Honda claims as the mileage you get).

The spares are very very expensive (as all parts are imported from Thailand) and really burns a hole in the pocket for maintenance.

Do you have the organic looking new City or the tarmac ripping older one? Frankly, I do think that Honda has produced a lemon, and is selling what is basically a very cheap car (in every way) at an exorbitant price. Honda is taking its Indian customers for a ride.
