1995 Honda Integra 1.6 petrol from Australia and New Zealand

Summary:

Good all round

Faults:

The gearbox blew up at 115,000km from previous owners burnouts.

The radiators plastic top tanks are prone to crack.

The windows rattle in the frames, not sure why.

These are the only problems in 40,000km. It has been the most reliable car I have owned out of my Mazda 323 (4), Mazda 626, Nissan Skyline (2), Mitsubishi Libero GT.

General Comments:

The engine has good performance and economy. Not enough power to spin the wheels too much, but it can be done.

For space, the rear seats have poor headroom for even average height people.

The boot is large, with a removable parcel tray and fold down seats.

1995 Honda Integra Vti-R 1.8 litre petrol from Australia and New Zealand

Summary:

Quick, but eats up my money

Faults:

- Clutch master cylinder leaking

- Clutch gone

- Brakes worn out

- Door locking system broke

- CV joints gone

General Comments:

Very quick car, but mine is not so reliable. I used to own a CRX and that was a very good car; no problems at all with it and it kept going and going. But this Integra; well I can't really say much apart that it is eating up my money. I am basically working just to fix or replace parts on this car.

It's like... I fix something then something else goes wrong. Not very good, but I must say the car is really quick.

Sounds like normal things going wrong with cars. And damage from hard driving.

Not the car.
