2000 Hyundai Coupe FX 2.0L from UK and Ireland

Summary:

Beautiful, sexy and frustrating!

Faults:

Drive belt snapped and bent 6 valves - new head required.

Paint is stripping off rear bumper.

Today I have a loud screech/Rattle/Knock coming from the main manifold area - overheated and loss of power.

General Comments:

Love this car - it is a thing of beauty, but like so many women I know - has been a heck of a lot of trouble.

2000 Hyundai Coupe SX 1.8 from Australia and New Zealand

Summary:

Is it a Porche or a Toyota Celica

Faults:

CV Boot Split

(warranty repair)

Brake Caliper Leak

(warranty repair)

Radiator Rusted

(250)

General Comments:

This car looks and rides fantastically. Hot red colour attracts people like it's a Porche or some other exotic car, Drives great and handles well. First time I saw it I was in love and everyone else who looks at it can't help, but keep looking pondering as to if it's a Toyota Celica or a Porche. People told me that these cars are not that good, but for now it works fine and has all the power I need as this is my first car. Looks good inside and out and would consider buying another hyundai again.

2000 Hyundai Coupe SE 2.0i 16v from UK and Ireland

Summary:

A great looking, cheap sports car

Faults:

No fault has occured with the car since I purchased it. I have only had to change the tyres and brake pads as a matter of looking after it.

The rear seats are not really big enough for anyone to travel any distance, but I purchased it for me so I don't care how uncomfortable it is back there.

General Comments:

My previous Nissan Primera GT was a very quick car (manual) and I thought that getting this automatic car would be slower, but I have to say I notice no difference in acceleration and performance. Having the overdrive ensures that you get the most from each gear.

This car handles extremely well around corners due to the porsche engineering.

It is a very low ride and very comfortable on longer journeys.

The look of the car is great, bright sports car red. Everyone comments and think it is a far more expensive car than it is.
