1994 Hyundai Pony review from UK and Ireland
"This car is the Hyundai donkey.."
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Various electrical faults-totally undiagnosable (even 5 mechanics didn't know what was up with the car).
Conked out regularly. And always at the best times (see below)
Car alarm went off for no reason (although it would have been a blessing if it had have been nicked)
Lousy paintwork.
Guzzled petrol like it was going out of fashion.
Noisy engine.
Handles like it's on rails (of the the Stannah stairlift kind).Seriously bad suspension, lousy handling. I hate to say it, but I can't think of one positive thing to say about this motor.
General comments?
Maybe I'd got a lemon with this car looking at everyone else's comments. But this car is easily the worst car I have ever had EVER. And I've had some bangers.
Within the first week of purchase it conked out in the middle of nowhere on a main A road. Then after this problem was sorted (something to do with the electrics) it would repeatedly break down at least twice every journey. Eventually after 4 months of misery, constant breakdowns and days off work I left the car on a gyppo site. Just shows how good the car is cause the car was still there 6 months later... in one piece!
