I may be wrong and am open to being corrected, but I didn't think there was such a thing as a 2002 Tiburon. I thought they delayed the production of the new style to 2003 and just called it a 2003. I'm sorry you had such bad luck with it, but let's face it... you went from a Pacer to a pre-05 Hyundai... talk about going from the frying pan to the fire. Neither of those cars was ever described as reliable or well engineered. Try getting something a little more thought out like a 1995 Crown Victoria... noooo, just kidding!

General Comments:

This is the worst car I have ever owed!! I will never purchase another Hyundai for as long as I live. The frame has all rusted, this car is not meant for Canadian weather. I have had problem after problem after problem. I am fed up with the manufacturer, and if you are smart do not buy Hyundai!!!

This car is beautifully designed and feels so sporty, but the fact is they use cheap quality parts that do not last, and they cost the same as Honda and Toyota. My wife has a Honda Civic, and she has never had any problem.

It started with the sunroof and has ended with the clutch. I wish I have never purchased this car, and had gone with the Acura RSX.

2002 Hyundai Tiburon V6 from North America

Summary:

Great car and a Great bargain

Faults:

So far nothing has gone wrong other than one small spot of the leather wore through the surface, but the dealer replaced the entire seat cover.

One recall item (moon roof), I had no problem and I was given ride to and from work by the dealer so there was minimal inconvenience.

General Comments:

Nice reliable car.

Great gas mileage 25 - 29 normally and 23 - 27 with AC running a lot.

While no V8 acceleration it does want to run 75 - 80 mph so I use the cruse at a lower speed a lot to avoid tickets.

Highly recomended this car if you want reliable low cost fun transportation with a warranty that is many times better than from Ford.

Excellent Buy

Faults:

Driver's window is out of alignment.

Top of window hits weather seal.

General Comments:

Car handles excellent.

However the performance is not what has been advertised. I ran 16.1 sec. quarter mile at 85 mph, not 15.4 sec at 91 mph.

I agree with the performance being a little less than what was promised, but I ran a 15.7 at 93mph 1st pass and second ran 15.8 at 91mph..my tib is stock with only k&n airfilter placed in stock (almost) intake box.
