1973 IHC Scout II 304 gas from North America

Summary:

Best Built Truck Ever

Faults:

Alternator needed replaced.

Needed rewired because of previous owner's lousy rewiring job.

General Comments:

This Scout is the best car I ever owned.

It has never let me down or stranded me.

It goes off road very well and takes me anywhere I want to go.

The 304 V8 is very powerful.

Overall an extremely well built reliable truck.

My husband and I have just made a two hour drive to purchase a 1972 Scout that has been owned by the same person for 34 of its 35 years. This man must not have known the treasure that he had because we only paid $1,000.00 for it. The engine is in great shape and it runs like a dream. We also didn't think much about driveing it back the two hours. For fun or the family this is one SUV that will always be a winner.

1973 IHC Scout II 304 from North America

Summary:

Awesome deal

Faults:

I did a complete rebuild of the car. The only thing wrong with this car was the body rust. Everything else was in great condition and didn't even need replaced.

General Comments:

This car is unstoppable. They are very easy to work on, but you never have to!

Eats gas like it is going out of style (10-12 mpg) but for something that starts every time without fail, it is kind of worth the cost.

I own two other Scout II as well and we beat the heck out of them (roll, bottom out, wreck, etc.) They simply laugh and ask for more. Can you think of any other car that you can roll will listening to your favorite radio station? They even have vinyl seats baby yeah!
