1992 Infiniti G20 2.0 4 cylinder. from North America

Summary:

Worth every cent

Faults:

Needed an alternator.

One fuel injector replaced.

Rest was routine maintenance.

General Comments:

Handling was phenomenal, could have used a little more pep if you ask me, but I had enough speeding tickets anyways.

1992 Infiniti G20 from North America

Summary:

A good car for it's age

Faults:

Replaced the starter.

Replaced the alternator.

Replaced the muffler.

Replaced the tires.

The passenger side window is beginning to slow down.

One headlight keeps going out.

General Comments:

Other than the things earlier mentioned, this car is great. Those things are to be expected with a car that is soon to be thirteen years old. The leather still looks good. And the body shape and color are great. Has regular oil changes every 3000 miles, and runs dependably.

1992 Infiniti G20 from North America

Summary:

Luxury car for the price the middle-class car

Faults:

Replaced both axles, started, alternator, muffler, and gas pump.

General Comments:

When I bought this car with 157,000 mileage, nobody (even myself) believed that it will run well for another 5 years. It was very risky. Today the mileage is 242,000 and it is still running.

The car is very compact, however, has enough space inside. The leather seats are very comfortable, as well as the steering wheel.

You get a luxury car for a price of a middle-class car.

Of course, I changed some parts because it is an eleven-years-old car, however, the engine and transmission are still very good.

I would buy the same brand again because I am sure that it will last for a long time.

1992 Infiniti G20 2.0L from North America

Summary:

Affordable, reliable luxury

Faults:

Front and rear brakes changed, no unusual wear. Rears didn't need changing until 150k.

New Starter put in.

New Molding around sunroof, lots of air noise before replacement.

Lots of piddly little electrical problems, none of which are critical. (ex: lights burned out in radio, tape player only plays one side, driver's side power window motor pretty tired, lights out on widow and lock switches, frequent headlight replacement, poor ground on headlights, they were dim until fixed, antenna motor not engaging.

Clutch replaced at approx. 100k.

Clutch cable broke at 160k.

1 CV joint replaced, and both CV boots needed fixing, (put after market wrap around boots with grease on to get me by for a bit,... and they have sufficed for over 40k so far!)

General Comments:

Aside from general upkeep fees and jobs which are to be expected, the car has been fabulous. My only gripe is the little electrical problems, but that can be overlooked considering the reliability, sporty nature, and relative classy look and feel. Rides like a dream even at almost 170k. No smoke, or oil leaks, change oil every 5k. Automatic seat belts are a joke sometimes, and have nearly strangled us and elderly parents at times, but they are tolerable. They are EXTREMELY dangerous to wear without lap belts, as they are a recipe for decapitation. This is no doubt why you don't see this option any more in new cars. This is my wife's car, and even with the high miles, I never worry about her in this car. We will probably buy a new G20 when this one finally goes. Highly enjoyed, and we hope our next one is as good.

1992 Infiniti G20 from North America

Summary:

Nothing fancy, but it is a sturdy, reliable car

Faults:

Driver's side window motor failed recently.

Security system's trunk sensor connection became a bit unstable last year.

General Comments:

This is a nice, reliable car which never gave me much trouble. This car has never missed a maintenance session so perhaps that's why it's still smooth-running and chugging along happily.

It is starting to get a bit pricey to keep my G20 in top condition due to it being almost 10 years old, but overall it was a good buy.
