Summary:

I am an idiot for buying this truck

Faults:

--Replaced the fuel pump at about 66,000

--Windshield wipers worked intermittently

--Wheel bearings and ABS sensor went out in the front

--Rough running/stumbling

--replaced brakes every 10k

--Emergency brake would not stop the truck from rolling back-wards

--over heated even after the water pump was replaced and the radiator flushed

--leaky radiator

--and the list goes on...

General Comments:

This is the same truck as the Chevy S-10 and I am very disapointed at the level of quality the largest automaker in the world puts into its like a rock trucks.

It will take decades before I decide to buy another American car.

I feel like I have been made a fool of for buying this truck.

Stay away from American cars, they just don't work very long.

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? No

I didn't think Isuzu was an American car company.

Isuzu and Chevrolet have been together for a while with such lemons like the spectrum... but have done well lately with the well known SATURN...finally!!!

I had a 1984 Real "Isuzu pick-up" I am an idiot for selling it just because I got tired of the way it looked. Small story, that truck ran with out a working alternator for about 100 miles and that little truck did not stop till I stopped it. Don't be fooled by the crappy american made Chevy s-10 & now the new Colorado. The reliability of the true isuzu truck is gone forever.. how sad.

I bought a new Isuzu SpaceCab back in 1992. That was the best truck I've ever owned. 168,000 miles and the only thing that ever went wrong was the starter. Too bad some jerk rear ended it and totaled it. I just bought a 2000 Amigo for my kid, hope it is as good the SpaceCab was. Long live real Isuzu's. Someone told me Isuzu was the largest truck maker in the world... is this true?

I don't want to sound rude, but honestly, if it's the same pickup as an S10 and you have that many problems with it while the majority of Americans haven't, there might be a bit of operational error. Such as... new brake pads every 10K miles... those typically last about 100,000, even if you aren't trying to make sure you use the tranny to slow you down...

I am sorry you did not like yours. I bought a 1998 hombre; it's the best small truck I have owned. Only regular maintenance and it works great. Pulled a small RV with it and everything a truck needs to do, and I have 3 different trucks. I am a truck guy and swear by mine.

Summary:

A great value for the money!

Faults:

The truck has been quite reliable as the only repairs I have done have been routine service and a few minor repairs such as a PCM sensor and a few other sensors recently. This has been one of the best vehicles I have ever owned and I plan on having it for at least another 25,000 miles.

General Comments:

A lot of vehicle for the money. I couldn't have asked for a better truck.
