1946 Jeep CJ2A review from North America
"Certainly been worth the money"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
This jeep and a M38 were purchased together in 1955 for $50. The CJ was used to tow the M38.
Steering knuckle seals failed in 1960 and were replaced in 1993. Steering knuckle bearings were also replaced in 1993.
Converted to 12 volt system in 1965.
Engine (original) rebuilt in 1955 and again in 1977.
Major body work performed in 1993 to repair rusted floorboards and fenders.
Oil pump (external) failed in 1998. Removed one shim plate from base plate and restored function.
