My auto transmission, the stalk shifts into 1st and 2nd but the gears don't change.
Starter.
Oil pressure gauge.
Bad wiring in the speakers.
It has its problems but I love it. It has never left me stranded and hopefully never will. They should make them like this again. But the seats need to recline.
I love my 86 Grand Wagoneer! Even though it gets 8 MPG in the city, it is the bumps and hills that I love. My boyfriend doesn't like when I want to drive it down unpaved, bumpy, muddy alleys, but it is so much fun. This winter we take it up to the mountain (4x4) for snowboarding. I can't wait. My Jeep is a leaker, though. The huge sunroof has a huge leak that is dripping through the roof fabric. Yuk. It rains a lot in Oregon, so it turns into a big problem... fast.
I also have the same problem with the automatic transmission shifting irregularly. Sometimes when it is cold, the transmission feels as if it has slipped into neutral. Then abruptly, it shifts back into drive. My mechanic is hopeful that it is a leak in the vacuum system somewhere... to be continued. If anyone can recommend a good place to get the "woody de-cals" I would greatly appreciate it.
My jeep has a bad gauge system and wiring system.
I've had my jeep wagoneer for 3 years it's a fun machine, but it does have problems with insrument panels I have delt with it though because I love it so much I have 4x4 it everywhere and yet has it let me down!!!
