1995 Jeep Wagoneer S 4.0 liter from North America

Summary:

Distinctive looking convertible w/o major mechanical problems

Faults:

Radiator at about 65-70,000 miles.

Transmission at about 65-70,000 miles.

Replaced soft top at about 115,000 miles.

Windshield needs to be fixed.

Center armrest started cracking at about 100,000 miles.

Shocks need to be replaced - started noticing about 115,000.

General Comments:

I bought this vehicle used and got the extended warranty. The transmission & radiator went out and the transmission alone paid for the warranty.

Surprisingly, I havnt had any other engine problems with the vehicle considering I just went about 15,000 miles without having the oil changed. (knock on wood).

The soft top is the most annoying thing about the vehicle. I always comment "Its like driving a box with a tent on-top of it down the interstate."

The windshield attracts rocks. I currently have 3 cracks & 4 chips in my windshield because of the angle. The windshield stands practically straight up and down so, reflecting small rocks is nearly impossible.

I had a problem when I bought the vehicle with the spare tire which was put on it. When I had a flat, I put the spare on and the vehicle started fish tailing around 35 mph. Turns out the spare was smaller then all the other tires.

I've enjoyed this vehicle very much, but, after 5 1/2years, I think I am wanting something a little more quieter (less wind and engine noise), more comfortable (it's a bumpy ride).

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

Are you sure this vehicle is a Wagoneer???

I think the vehicle is a WRANGLER if it has a soft-top.

How on earth can someone drive a vehicle for years, and not even know what model it is???
