2000 Jeep Wrangler Sport 4.0 liter 6 cylinder from North America

Summary:

An excellent, fun to drive, go anywhere vehicle that is unsurpassed by other so called 4x4's

Faults:

I've only had it a month or so... NOTHING.

General Comments:

VERY fun and attractive vehicle.

Easy to manoeuvre in the smallest of places. I go 4-wheelin' with my buddy who owns an Explorer and he can't go some of the places I easily climb or throttle.

This machine's simplicity and very capable offroad abilities make it ideal for someone who doesn't mind living without some of the luxury of today's SUVs. I love the jealous look I get from all these KIA Sportage and other wannabe SUV owners... they know, they know.

2000 Jeep Wrangler Sport 4.0 from North America

Summary:

A piece of American history that's still making history!

Faults:

Nothing has gone wrong.

General Comments:

I've really abused this jeep, even being new. Every weekend I'm in the mountains around Arizona further testing this vehicle. It makes my previous vehicle look silly on the trail. I've owned many 4x4 vehicles, but this is the first Jeep. Hands down, this truck rules on the trail.

Lockers were extremely beneficial.

If you can't live without the refined "nice stuff", don't buy a Jeep. If you want to arrive at your scenic destination, you can't beat the Jeep.

I own a 2000 wrangler sport, pretty much loaded, and I must say that I have had nothing but problems. It started with a leak in the floor of the passenger compartment that was sent to the dealer for repairs 4! times, yet still not fixed. The alternator went causing the battery to be used up requiring the dealer to replace both, including the starter (warranty). Recently, the transfer case and right front ball joint had to be replaced. The speedometer housing on top of the transfer case broke free causing a the fluid to leak from the transfer case. Also, the front stabilizer bar went as did the control bar bolts. This is all under normal driving without taking it off road. I am totally disappointed in this vehicle. However, I absolutely love it and wish it were more reliable, I'd love to keep it forever, however my wallet just can't keep taking the hit. I'll be looking to Honda or Toyota for some help soon.

2000 Jeep Wrangler SE 2.5 from North America

Summary:

An all around fun-mobile!

Faults:

Nothing so far.

General Comments:

This car is great... or rather this Jeep is great! People who compare it to cars are incorrect. It is not a car. It is not as smooth as a car and does not have to be. It is the best of both worlds! A convertible in the summer and 4-wheel drive in the winter.

I don't like Chrysler products but they didn't mess this one up when they bought out Jeep. This 2000 rides smoother than those in the past, is easier to operate and the roof is easier to put up and down. The only down side is the gas mileage is not the greatest... but I didn't buy it for gas mileage!
