Dear Kia company, please advise me where I can get the spare parts for a Kia Carens motor vehicle VIN/chassis number: KNAFC523345356963.

I want to buy CV joints/ball joints for this particular vehicle.

My contact details are Evans Kasonde, phone +260966475975 or you can email me on evansmukwalak@gmail.com.

The CV joint and driveshaft for this Kia Carens car is difficult to find in Africa. Where can we get spare parts please???

2004 Kia Carens LE 2.0 diesel from UK and Ireland

Summary:

Overall, an excellent vehicle for the price

General Comments:

Very comfortable and a pleasure to drive.

The wife has mention about the lack of an arm rest (unlike the Sedona) on the passenger seat and also feels the seat could do with a lumber support, though both my wife and I are very happy with the level of comfort provided by the seats.

The combined fuel comsumption is reported to be 43.5 mpg, using the car for a daily round trip of approximateley 80 miles from Cheltenham to Bristol, I had hoped for a comsumption in this area. I am at present on this daily trip lucky to get 35 mpg and that is driving the car in a very conservative manner.

A criticism is that the is wash/wipe control could do with being position on one of the steering column control stalks, as the control are just at the end of my reach the lower edge of the right hand side of the dashboard and is considered not to be conducive to safe driving. Also the lack of an intermittent wiper control is annoying, to say the least.

Other than these few niggles both the wife and I are very happy with the car.

2004 Kia Carens LX 2.0 CRDi from UK and Ireland

Summary:

Nice Car - If you can get one!!!

Faults:

Nothing has actually failed with the car, although the build quality is slightly less than European cars (expected I suppose), hence the little noises and creaks that you tend to get with such cars is starting to appear.

General Comments:

First of all I will say that the car is very good value for money - And I challenge anybody to find a new Auto Diesel for a smaller price. Secondly I will warn anybody with regards to ordering a new one. My experience was very bizarre. Firstly it took 6 months to arrive from Korea. Then when it came it was the wrong spec (LX instead of an SE!!) I took the lower spec car (with a discount and some extras of course). But the experience left me not wanting to recommend them to anybody. But I must reiterate that the car is actually very nice!

2004 Kia Carens LX 2.0 diesel from UK and Ireland

Summary:

Wanting a roomy, automatic diesel, comfortable carrier of people at a very good price; I got it.

Faults:

The CD/radio was incorrectly wired in, but quickly rectified when returned to the dealer.

General Comments:

Very comfortable and pleasant car to drive.

Turning circle is larger than usual.

The combined fuel consumption is reported to be 37 mpg, but even driving with great care and in an economical manner the fuel consumption is about 34 mpg. I had hoped for much higher.

It is a very roomy car and the high seating position suits me very well.

The controls appear to be very basic, but in fact are generally very easy to locate and operate. A minor criticism is that the rear wash/wipe control is badly positioned, and the radio volume control needs body as well as arm movement to reach it.
