2007 Kia Carnival Grand 3.9 petrol from Australia and New Zealand

Summary:

We are always fighting about who will drive on family outings

Faults:

The park brake hook that holds the cable to it bent and snapped (fixed under warranty).

General Comments:

This is the best car we have ever owned. It was purchased for the wife as the family run about. I was very skeptical about buying a Korean car, but I have to say I am extremely impressed with it, to the point I am considering buying myself one too.

We have had no complaints with the car (only the dealer), and everyone we talk to that owns one says the same, how much they LOVE their Grand Carnivals.

The comfort and flexibility of the cabin is second to none. We traded an AU II Ford Falcon XR8 on it, and the Carnival has it all over the Falcon inside.

The fact you can completely take out the second row of 3 individual seats is great, and the 3rd row folds into the floor, totally disappearing when not needed.

We have taken the middle seat of the 2nd row out to create an aisle, making 3rd row access much easier.

This car has everything you could ask for that is found in much more expensive luxury cars (we only wish we bought the model with leather and electric doors).

LOVE LOVE LOVE this car, and will definitely buy another one.

2007 Kia Carnival GSE 2.9 liter turbo diesel from UK and Ireland

Faults:

Automatic transmission went at 25,000.

Front shocks had to be replaced, as the wrong ones were in it from the start, and they wore the front tyres off it.

Left side front drive went at 7000, and had to be replaced.

Kia were not helpful; they will not replace the tyres, and did not want to know about it.

I would not buy another car from them; they are like all the rest, they just take your money, then they do not want to know.

My name is Peter Whelan, and I can be contacted on 00353876143321 if anyone wants to know more. Thanks.

General Comments:

The car is quite nice and comfortable, but when things go wrong, which they will, nobody wants to know. After paying 42,000 euro for mine, I will end up in court with Kia Ireland.
