I'm very satisfied so far. I reached 8000 km, did a first oil change and used synthetic oil. I'm averaging 6,8 l/100 km (quite good); it is basically the same as my Cruze 2014 diesel.

The road noise is a bit louder than the Cruze, that were around 58 decibel vs 68 for the Forte at a 100 km/h speed. I put on all-season Celsius Toyo tires; the tread is noisier than summer tires. I had put Vredestein Quatrac 5 on my Cruze (an all season tire too), and they were less loud and quite comparable on the snow. In 3 years I will get a set.

For a CVT transmission I'm impressed; it doesn't feel as smooth as a conventional transmission, but if it gives such a good fuel economy, I can surely live with it. I'm not a heavy foot and I stay within the speed limit.

I'm reaching 10 000 km, and the best thing so far is the fuel economy; my latest fill up gave me a 5,76 l/100km; the ambient temperature was around 6 degree Celsius. This is better than my 2006 Jetta diesel, my 2011 Jetta diesel and my 2014 Cruze diesel. I'm very impressed, the engine is very smooth, especially at 100 km/h it runs around 1750 RPM. So the car is very enjoyable on long trips; the lane keeping assistance is awesome for a car that price.

I'm at 13100 km June 5th 2019. I'm averaging 6,1 l/100km or if you prefer 37.5 MPG US or 46 MPG Imp. I'm very satisfied, the integration with Carplay is fantastic, but for whatever reason Android auto is very problematic. I haven't had any issues so far; everything is well put together and feels pricier than it is.

These 2.0 MPI engines develop piston slap at higher miles, especially in colder areas.
