1995 Lincoln Continental 4.6 Intech V8 from North America

Summary:

A wonderful high maintenance machine

Faults:

Radiator cooling fan motor burnt up and caught fire, melting the radiator fans and housing.

Airbag suspension wore out and car slammed to the ground. A very expensive repair, and must be done by the dealer or parts ordered from the dealer. Most mechanics do not like to work on this suspension system.

General Comments:

Of all the cars I have ever owned, Cadillacs, Jaguars, Range Rovers, etc. I have to say this was my favorite car. It was the most comfortable vehicle to drive, and had plenty of power and great gas mileage.

This car had more features and options on it for its time than any other car I've ever owned.

Other than the airbag suspension, the car was very reliable. Lincolns always have problems with this suspension system, and it is a very costly repair.

The engine in this car is excellent. Great gas mileage, plenty of power, and runs smooth as silk. Also very durable, much better than Cadillac's Northstar engines. The car overheated due to the radiator fans burning up, and it did not affect the engine one bit. If this were a Cadillac or another aluminum V8, it would have blown the head gaskets.

They make kits to get rid of the air ride and install regular shocks and struts.

1995 Lincoln Continental 4.6L 32V V8 from North America

Summary:

Everything you would ever want in car

Faults:

Rebuilt Transmission at 114650.

New front driver side ABS speed sensor.

New front driver side Air spring.

Rear passenger shock bushing bad.

New rotors and pads in front.

Broken engine mount.

General Comments:

This car is the quickest car I have ever owned. Power! Luxury! It'll turn heads.

I currently 17 years old and this is my second car and let me tell you this car is insane. Everything is powered and this car has more gadgets than any 17 year old should have. I find the climate control, variable steering assist, and adjustable electronic suspension to be my favorite features of this car.

At night the dash looks like that of an airplane, with different colors and everything lit up, the 3D projection gages make the car.

The heated leather is a big plus in the winter time.

Lets talk power, this car has it, the 4.6L V8 puts a whoapping 280HP under your foot, more that a guy my age should have. I don't fear many cars with this kind of power. So pull up to me and rev that crappy engine of yours, I will burn you!!! With the Conti as I have come to know it by.

This bad boy may look like an old mans car on the outside, but pop the hood and take of the plastic cover, that hides all the goodies and you will see a sweet looking power plant that you will respect.

Oh yeah this car sounds nice too.

This is my second Lincoln and it will not be my last.

I rev my crappy engine and laugh at how much you bow to me at the pump. Muhahahaha...

What he pays at the pump is more than made up for in the luxury and ride of the car. I'm sure it's more comfortable and stable than any SUV which may use the same amount of gas.
