2003 Lincoln Navigator from North America

Summary:

The Navigator is a poorly made vehicle, and Lincoln couldn't care less!!

Faults:

Sunroof had to be replaced.

Dashboard had to be replaced.

Rear lift gate light is always coming on (and always has to be repaired!)

Clunk in the front end -- numerous repairs to try to fix. Still not fixed (Control Arm -Steering shaft- etc etc). And no response from Lincoln - No matter how many times we call. Very poor Service at every dealer we have tried.

General Comments:

Very beautiful vehicle -nice to drive- on the rare occasions it is not in for service. This vehicle has far too many problems to even list. Lincoln couldn't care less, and I would tell anyone who would listen to me, DO NOT purchase a Navigator. Their service departments are all rude, and will make no attempts to help you, and Lincoln couldn't care less - It is a very frustrating feeling to have no help at all, and especially when you have paid so much for a vehicle -- Never another Lincoln.

I've owned 3 Lincoln products (1 Town Car Cartier, and 2 Continentels) and servicing my vehicle has always been very pleasant for me. You must have a bunch of bad dealers around you. I'm purchasing a Navigator however reading your review has raised an eyebrow and I will be sure to get more things in writing for sure.

2003 Lincoln Navigator from North America

Summary:

The car is quite nimble for such a big vehicle

Faults:

Nothing has gone wrong with this car.

General Comments:

We were not looking for a SUV when my wife found and fell in love with this 2003 Lincoln Navigator. It is just like new and is very comfortable.

My only complaint with it is the GPS system is outdated.

2003 Lincoln Navigator 5.4 from North America

Faults:

I had purchased this car in Sept of 2003 with 13km on it. It still had the plastic on the seats and it was never test driven which was another bonus for me. The trucks air conditioning worked fine when I purchased it. In the spring of 2004 there was a hot and muggy day which the air was put on, well it didn't work just hot air was coming out. I brought in for service and it was fixed. Problem, a seal was loose and it lost all its cold air.

General Comments:

Prior to buying this truck I was looking at the Cadillac Escalade, but when I brought it home to show the wife she did not like the fact it had less options or features then the Lincoln. So the wife and I decided on the Lincoln. The interior of the Lincoln will blow the Cadillacs out the door. The Cadillac is plain and boring where the Lincolns is very luxurious.

I love my 99 Navigator. It was purchased last year, low miles, extra clean. My husband is a Chevy man and I took a lot of heat over buying this SUV. When he noticed the rust on all four doors, forget it I still haven't heard the end of it. Recently I've noticed all over the body are little red dots that seem to be the start of what will be my unpaid rust bucket. I saw a pretty SUV, not realizing that premium only meant I had to limit my travels or get a 2nd job. Not to mention there is no storage space specially when you need that 3rd seat to fit your 3 kids. Has anyone else noticed a delay or hesitation upon accelerating. Tune-up, synthetic oil, air filters, plugs, boots, you name it. Have not corrected this problem. Any suggestions?
