2003 Mercedes-Benz CLK 500 8 cylinder from North America

Summary:

Great car

Faults:

I'm the new owner of this car for almost a year, and put around 15,000 miles. All these time I never had any problem and enjoyed every mile I drove. Recently I had two similar incidents, which bothers me. I drove my CLK 500, 2003 for about 60 miles and stopped at the coffee shop to get coffee. Few minutes later I came and started the car it would not start. After work, 8-9 hours later I went back and started the car no problem it started. Happened twice. Now I'm afraid to stop the car in middle of a journey. Did anyone experience this?

General Comments:

Great Car. I enjoyed very much.

Yes, I have the same car, the same year, same amount of miles. It did that to me a couple times. Then, I was driving on the freeway and it wouldn't up shift. When I brought it in, my transmission was blown and needed to be replaced :- (I have had a rental car for the past 3 weeks and am still waiting for this to be resolved, because there is no way I will pay $5000 for a new transmission after only 15000 miles.

2003 Mercedes-Benz CLK Cabriolet 430 from North America

Summary:

Finally, a sexy Benz with 4 seats and trunk space

Faults:

The driver's side seatbelt rubs the housing, causing a slight, intermittent noise that the dealer has failed to correct.

General Comments:

This car is simply, strikingly gorgeous from any angle, top down or up.

It has a low, aggressive stance that screams performance.

The vehicle has 275 hp, with torque distributed nicely throughout the throttle range, but retains enough low end torque to burn a little rubber on a hard launch.

The instrumentation is friendly, and nicely lit in light green.

For a cabriolet, the car evinces little road and wind noise.

I love my car!!! It's beautiful anytime of the year. Seats-front and back are very comfortable. My husband thinks it's a girly car. So-I'm a girl!!!

2003 Mercedes-Benz CLK Cabriolet 320 from UK and Ireland

Summary:

This is a great car and women love it

Faults:

Nothing.

General Comments:

It is the only car I have driven or been a passenger in that I cannot fault in any way. With most cars you comment on them as they are a great car, But! with this new model of the CLK Cabriolet there are no But's.

It is all but the perfect car and probably the best 4 seater cabriolet on the market. All 4 seats can be used by adults with plenty of leg & head room.

I own one of these too (CLK320 Cab) and it is faultless and as you say it's a favourite with the girls - guess who gets asked to give them a lift after the clubs close. Me or the BMW/Audi drivers?

Neither of the above.

Any woman with a gram of intelligence would ask to go home in a Toyota Yaris or similar I should imagine, then she would know that the guy isn't compensating for something.
